Workspaces, team and roles
Svellyo is built for people who run more than one product. This article explains how workspaces, teammates and roles fit together, and how billing rolls up across them.

Workspaces
A workspace is one product or site. It has its own widget, knowledge base, AI persona, settings, contacts and inbox. Create as many as you need; there is no limit on any plan.
Switch between them with the switcher at the top of the sidebar. Each entry shows a badge with its open conversations.
Every workspace has exactly one owner. Chats from all workspaces a person owns count towards that person's plan, which is what lets you run several products on one subscription.
Roles
Owner | Member | |
|---|---|---|
Reply in the inbox, assign, tag, close | Yes | Yes |
Edit knowledge base and announcements | Yes | Yes |
Change widget, AI and workspace settings | Yes | Yes |
Invite and remove teammates | Yes | No |
Integrations, retention, data export | Yes | No |
Transfer ownership, delete workspace | Yes | No |
Billing | Yes, on their own account | No |
A person can be the owner of some workspaces and a member of others.
Invite teammates
Go to Settings → Team and enter an email address. The invitee gets an email with a link that works whether or not they already have a Svellyo account. Pending invitations are listed on the same page and can be revoked.
Seats per workspace depend on the owner's plan:
Plan | Seats per workspace |
|---|---|
Free | 2 |
Pro | 5 |
Scale | Unlimited |
Seats are counted per workspace, so the same five people can be on all of your workspaces on Pro. If a workspace is at its seat limit, new invitations are blocked until a member is removed or the owner upgrades.
Leave a workspace
Members can leave from Settings → Team. Owners must transfer ownership first.
Transfer ownership
Under Settings → Team, the owner can hand the workspace to any member. From that moment the workspace's chats count towards the new owner's plan, and the new owner controls billing-related settings. Use this when a product changes hands or when you want one teammate to hold the subscription for everything.
Delete a workspace
Settings → Danger zone lets the owner delete a workspace by typing its name. The widget stops working on that site immediately and the workspace is hidden from everyone. Data is purged after a grace period, so contact support quickly if you deleted the wrong one.
Your account
Account in the user menu covers your profile, password and connected Google sign-in, notification defaults, billing for the workspaces you own, and account deletion. Deleting your account removes workspaces you own; transfer them first if teammates still need them.
